2023 - present
Journeying Home is an ongoing photographic project that explores the intimate relationship we build with ourselves.
Through slow, reflective making and conversations where I hold space for the women, the work focuses on self-connection, identity, and the many ways femininity is experienced and lived.
The project began as a personal search for grounding and reconnection with myself, and has since grown into a collaborative process with women who share their vulnerabilities and inner landscapes. Together, we create images that hold space for complexity, balancing softness and strength, visibility and privacy, certainty and uncertainty.
At the heart of my practice is an ethical and relational approach to storytelling. Participants are involved in shaping how they are represented, allowing each portrait to emerge from trust and dialogue. The resulting photographs are still and poetic, using metaphors and the body to translate the stories to the visual.
The work takes shape through photogravure prints, a tactile publication, and a collaboratively created perfume oil.
